This is an annual event for Design Technology programme students under the course of GKR3014 Interactive Multimedia where the students showcased and pitched their mobile apps ideas for MaGIC’s Grill or Chill on the 7th January 2020 at Borneo 744. There are 24 groups participated for the showcase and 12 groups were selected to pitch their mobile apps idea for MaGIC’s Grill or Chill based on their final assessment’s presentation. The Grillers for the GoC session are Hasbullah Mohd Nor (Designer, MaGIC) and Khairool Adzelan (Ecosystem Strategist (Talent Development) Digital Village Unit, SMA).

At the end of the session, the Grillers announced the top 3 groups that have potential and market-ready mobile apps projects. The top 3 groups are FRASH (Tee Pei Eh & Heng Hoong Wee), WASTE MANIA (Azwan Bin Adnan, Muhammad Al-Muslim, Muhd Yusuf Daus, Afiq Izaan Zaiden & Mohd Firdaus Buyong), FUEL UP (Eleanor Elder, Dayang Siti Aqilah Binti Abang Rajuna, Olyvia Hendryson Sabar, Easter Rose, Lumit Anak Lampon & Issa Elizeberth Anak Tebau)
This is the second collaboration between Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts with MaGIC. This initiative is to build up students’ confidence by pitching their ideas to the industry experts and to expose them to the startup ecosystem. Apart from that, this platform helps to encourage learning beyond the classroom by incorporating available events as part of teaching and learning through experiential learning. The coordinator of this course is Miss Noorhaslina Senin and she look forward for any future collaboration with the industry experts in order to improve teaching and learning activities.
