1) Please be informed that the current semester (Semester 1, 2015/2016) will end on 14 February 2016.

2) Every student is required to go through Semester Registration for Semester 2, 2015/2016 Session.

3) Below are the relevant information and procedures for your attention:

  • You are reminded to update your details at ePelajar,            

          https://cgsweb.unimas.my/PGeStudent/Login.jsp ;

  • Kindly inform us if you have been offered a scholarship by sending a verified copy of the offer letter. We shall then provide you with   your reference number for you to activate your registration status;
  • For self-sponsored student, your reference number will be provided to you once semester fees are paid.
  • Semester registration will be from 15 February – 19 February 2016 via online:

          https://cgsweb.unimas.my/PGeSemesterRegistration ;

Centre for Graduate Studies’ Office will be CLOSED during WEEKENDS and PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Upon registration, please use:
i.    student number for username
ii.    IC or passport number for password (provided no changes were done previously).

FOR RESEARCH STUDENTS:

Please note that starting from the 2015/2016 academic session, all research students will need to go through semester registrations for the TWO SEMESTERS only (Semester 1-2015/2016 and Semester 2, 2015/2016).

A)    MAINTENANCE FEE

•    Only students who have exceeded their minimum study duration are allowed to apply;
•    First draft of the complete thesis must be attached for application of Maintenance Fee;
•    Application should be made before 15 January 2016. (one month before the intended semester registration);
•    Upon approval, Maintenance Fee of RM300/academic year, must be paid until your thesis has been approved by Senate;
•    Please note that Recurring Fee (RM500.00) is charged annually;
•    International students are charged Health Insurance annually; and
•    Form can be downloaded from CGS website
      (http://www.postgrad.unimas.my/downloads/forms.html).

B)    NOTICE FOR SUBMISSION OF THESIS
•    Students should submit the Notice of Submission of Thesis form at least 3 months before they intend to submit their thesis;
•    The form must be submitted together with the Thesis Examination Fee receipt (RM1,000.00 for Master and RM1,500.00 for PhD);
•    However, should the thesis requires a re-examination, the student is expected to pay the examination fee for the next submission; dan
•    Form can be downloaded from CGS website

FOR COURSEWORK STUDENTS:

1)    All students (New and returning) are required to:
a.    make payment of the semester fee;
b.    register as student (Semester Registration); and
c.    register for courses offered during Semester 2 2015/2016 session after you have completed your Semester Registration (refer to respective programme).  

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO

Confirmation of Graduate Student Registration :

•    Semester Registration period starts from 15 February – 19 February 2016; and
•    Late Semester registration fee of RM200.00 will be imposed from (Week 1 – Week 4) 22 February 2016 – 18 March 2016; (ONLY FOR RETURNING STUDENTS)

Coursework Programme (New and Returning Students):

a)    Students are allowed to add and/or to drop courses from 15 February 2016 until 06 March 2016 without penalty;

b)    Penalty of RM200.00 for every course will be imposed for the adding and/or dropping of courses with the approval of the Dean/Director from 07 March 2016 – 18 March 2016;**  and

c)    Adding and/or dropping of courses after 18 March 2016 of lecture are not permitted.
