    Kota Samarahan, 12th June 2020: Faculty of Economics and Business, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) has organized a webinar CEO Talk by Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar on yesterday under the Academia-Industry Talent Exchange Program or AIXCHANGE: CEO @ FACULTY PROGRAM (CFP) 1.0. The event was attended by lecturers and students of UNIMAS and the public.

    Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar was appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of Bursa Malaysia on 1 May 2020 and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) on 1 November 2018. He is regarded as one of the most versatile corporate leaders in Malaysia having successfully led four major organisations in infrastructure development, telecommunications, financial services and investment management.

    He served as Group Chairman of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), Malaysia's largest fund management company, from August 2016 to June 2018 following completion of his term as a Senator and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of Economic Planning from June 2013 to June 2016.     Pengarah SQRC, YBhg Prof Dr Tarmiji Masron menerima cenderahati daripada YBhg Prof Dr Norman Mohd Saleh, Pro-Naib Cansel

     

    KOTA SAMARAHAN, 9 Mac 2020:  Seramai 13 orang staf dari Pejabat Strategi dan Pembangunan Korporat UKM yang diketuai oleh YBhg Prof Dr Norman Mohd Saleh, Pro-Naib Canselor (Strategi dan Pembangunan Korporat) merangkap Pengarah Eksekutif Strategi-UKM telah membuat lawatan ke Pusat Perancangan Strategik, Pengurusan Kualiti dan Risiko (SQRC). Lawatan penandaarasan ke SQRC ini adalah bagi tujuan perkongsian ilmu dan penambahbaikan terhadap proses kerja sistem sedia ada.

    Turut serta semasa lawatan adalah Prof Dr Zaidi Omar, Timbalan Pengarah Eksekutif I Strategi-UKM, Prof Madya Dr Wan Zawiah Wan Zin, Timbalan Pengarah Eksekutif Strategi-UKM, Prof Madya Dr Azlan Shah Zaidi, Timbalan Pengarah Eksekutif II Strategi-UKM, Encik Saidi Ismail, Ketua Penolong Pendaftar Kanan dan Ketua Pentadbiran Strategi-UKM, Puan Zaimi Makhtar, Penolong Pendaftar Kanan Strategi-UKM, Puan Nor Saribon Ramli, Penolong Pendaftar Strategi-UKM serta beberapa orang staf dari Pusat Teknologi Maklumat UKM.

    Rombongan turut berkesempatan berkunjung ke konti UNIMAS.fm dan YBhg Prof Dr Norman sempat ditemubual oleh DJ yang bertugas. Selain itu, rombongan juga sempat melawat Muzium Anatomi serta Pusat Simulasi Klinikal di Fakulti Perubatan dan Sains Kesihatan (FPSK) sebelum berangkat pulang.

    Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, 12th June 2020: Mini Film Festival (MFF) an annual event organised by the Faculty of Applied And Creative Arts, UNIMAS will be holding a webinar titled “Film Production During COVID-19: Its Challenges and Creative Solutions” will feature panellists comprise of filmmakers such as Nadiah Hamzah, Shamyl Othman and Pikky Lim on 16th June 2020 (Tuesday).

    The three experienced filmmakers will be sharing their experience and involvement in either commercial or short film production creatively produced during the Movement Control Order (MCO). Despite many challenges encountered during the productions, the film and commercial they made had been positively received by Malaysian audiences.

    In collaboration with Creative Heritage Innovation Centre, Sarawak Media Authority (CHIC, SMA) and CityPlus FM (Sarawak), this timely webinar will feature discussion on latest issues that are closely related to the film industry amidst the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
