KOTA SAMARAHAN, 9 Mac 2020:  Seramai 13 orang staf dari Pejabat Strategi dan Pembangunan Korporat UKM yang diketuai oleh YBhg Prof Dr Norman Mohd Saleh, Pro-Naib Canselor (Strategi dan Pembangunan Korporat) merangkap Pengarah Eksekutif Strategi-UKM telah membuat lawatan ke Pusat Perancangan Strategik, Pengurusan Kualiti dan Risiko (SQRC). Lawatan penandaarasan ke SQRC ini adalah bagi tujuan perkongsian ilmu dan penambahbaikan terhadap proses kerja sistem sedia ada.

Turut serta semasa lawatan adalah Prof Dr Zaidi Omar, Timbalan Pengarah Eksekutif I Strategi-UKM, Prof Madya Dr Wan Zawiah Wan Zin, Timbalan Pengarah Eksekutif Strategi-UKM, Prof Madya Dr Azlan Shah Zaidi, Timbalan Pengarah Eksekutif II Strategi-UKM, Encik Saidi Ismail, Ketua Penolong Pendaftar Kanan dan Ketua Pentadbiran Strategi-UKM, Puan Zaimi Makhtar, Penolong Pendaftar Kanan Strategi-UKM, Puan Nor Saribon Ramli, Penolong Pendaftar Strategi-UKM serta beberapa orang staf dari Pusat Teknologi Maklumat UKM.

Rombongan turut berkesempatan berkunjung ke konti UNIMAS.fm dan YBhg Prof Dr Norman sempat ditemubual oleh DJ yang bertugas. Selain itu, rombongan juga sempat melawat Muzium Anatomi serta Pusat Simulasi Klinikal di Fakulti Perubatan dan Sains Kesihatan (FPSK) sebelum berangkat pulang.

KUCHING: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) was recognised as the best in Asia in the ‘Excellence and Innovation in the Arts’ category.

The varsity received the accolade during the second annual Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia recently.

“We are proud and happy to share UNIMAS success at the Asia Awards 2020. UNIMAS is the best in Asia for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts category.

“The judging process by THE and their expert guest judges went through hundreds of applications to shortlist a diverse range of projects from universities across Asia,” UNIMAS vice chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi said in a Facebook post today.

Kadim said the fact that UNIMAS having three shortlisted projects and one eventual winner is a reflection of the varsity’s strong commitment to knowledge excellence and the team effort.

“It was a challenging exercise for them to select examples of excellence from all the shortlisted projects and those selected as winners, which therefore are very worthy of the spotlight and recognition given by THE,” he said.

Among the categories were Excellence and Innovation in the Arts, International Strategy of the Year and Workplace of the Year.
