Announcement: UNIMAS AHA Training Site Course Calendar 2018 (2^nd Half)

The UNIMAS American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site is pleased to announce its latest course offerings for the second half of 2018.

UNIMAS is an official training site that offers the following AHA Courses:

• Courses for Healthcare Professionals:
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course for Healthcare Providers
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course
• Courses for Non-Medically Trained Personnel:
  • AHA Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR & AED Provider Course

Enrolled participants will receive the official AHA course package upon registration. Participants who successfully fulfill the assessment (written and skills testing) requirements of the course will be awarded with an AHA provider status which is internationally recognized and valid for 2-years.

All courses will be conducted by AHA certified instructors in the Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Kota Samarahan Campus. The training facility is fully equipped with simulators of varying fidelity levels to ensure our participants are fully immersed in the training programmes.

KOTA SAMARAHAN, 29 Ogos 2019- Seramai 116 orang pelajar dari Fakulti Perubatan dan Sains Kesihatan UNIMAS telah diraikan dalam Majlis Appresiasi dan Kesyukuran yang merupakan acara tahunan yang dianjurkan oleh Kelab Perubatan Unimas (KEPUMAS)

Majlis ini signifikan dengan pemberian orkid sebagai simbolik di atas kejayaan setiap pelajar perubatan yang telah lulus dalam Peperiksaan Iktisas Akhir Program Perubatan, Sesi Akademik 2018/2019 yang telah diadakan pada 18 Ogos 2019- 21 Ogos 2019 (teori) dan 26 Ogos 2019 - 28 Ogos 2019 (klinikal). Bunga orkid jenis ini telah digunakan sejak lebih 6 tahun sebagai tanda penghargaan di atas kejayaan pelajar perubatan.

Cenderahati ini telah disampaikan oleh Dekan Fakulti Perubatan dan Sains Kesihatan, Prof. Dr. Haji Kamarudin Bin Kana kepada para pelajar berkenaan. Turut hadir dalam majlis tersebut ialah Timbalan Dekan (Penyelidikan dan Siswazah) Prof Madya Dr. Asri bin Said, Timbalan Dekan (Pembangunan dan Perkhidmatan Klinikal) Prof. Dr. Mohammad Zulkarnaen bin Ahmad Narihan, Timbalan Dekan (Hal Ehwal Pelajar dan Alumni) Prof. Madya Dr. Nor Aliza binti Abdul Rahim, Timbalan Dekan (Prasiswazah) Prof Madya Dr Ehfa Binti Bujang Safawi, para staf akademik, staf sokongan serta ibu-bapa pelajar.
