Announcement: UNIMAS AHA Training Site Course Calendar 2018 (2^nd Half)

The UNIMAS American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site is pleased to announce its latest course offerings for the second half of 2018.

UNIMAS is an official training site that offers the following AHA Courses:

• Courses for Healthcare Professionals:
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course for Healthcare Providers
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course
• Courses for Non-Medically Trained Personnel:
  • AHA Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR & AED Provider Course

Enrolled participants will receive the official AHA course package upon registration. Participants who successfully fulfill the assessment (written and skills testing) requirements of the course will be awarded with an AHA provider status which is internationally recognized and valid for 2-years.

All courses will be conducted by AHA certified instructors in the Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Kota Samarahan Campus. The training facility is fully equipped with simulators of varying fidelity levels to ensure our participants are fully immersed in the training programmes.

The ISITI team recently went to Bakelalan in preparation for the 7th eBorneo Knowledge Fair (eBKF), which will be held from 22-24 October 2019. The team successfully managed to make all the necessary arrangements for the participants in Long Tanid, and Bakelalan as well as met with the local agencies and community representatives to discuss the final preparations for eBKF. 

Prof. Dr Narayanan, Director of ISITI, recently conducted the  Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) Level 1 and Level 2 training at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, UNIMAS. The four-day training workshop saw the attendance of participants from Universiti Sains Malaysia, TEGAS and UNIMAS. The workshop also included assessments for certification as TRIZ Level 1 and Level 2 practitioners.

Recognized as a powerful method for innovation, TRIZ is a catalytic program for employees to upgrade the problem solving and innovation skills to international certification standards and has been embraced by many major corporations worldwide.

1. Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) tampil memberi penjelasan dan memperbetulkan fakta berkaitan penularan laporan media berkenaan isu penyediaan makanan yang disediakan semasa Minggu Aluan Pelajar Baharu Sesi 2019/2020.

2. Minggu Aluan Pelajar Baharu UNIMAS Sesi 2019/2020 bermula pada 5 hingga 8 September 2019 di DeTAR PUTRA, UNIMAS.

3. Pada Sesi 2019/2020, seramai lebih kurang 3,700 orang pelajar baharu telah mendaftar dengan Liaison Officers yang terdiri daripada pelajar-pelajar senior UNIMAS seramai 369 orang. Jumlah pelajar yang perlu disediakan minum pagi, makan tengahari dan makan malam ialah seramai 4,069 orang.

4. Untuk agihan makanan kepada pelajar-pelajar baharu, seramai 17 katerer telah dilantik, di mana 15 katerer yang dilantik adalah katerer dalaman UNIMAS dan dua (2) katerer adalah dari pihak luar (untuk menyediakan makanan vegetarian dan Kentucky Fried Chicken).

5. Objektif pemilihan 17 katerer adalah untuk mempelbagaikan menu makanan, di samping memastikan kualiti dan keselamatan makanan melalui agihan penyajian di kalangan caterer dalam jumlah yang sesuai dan menyakini reputasi katerer dalaman dan luar yang dikenalpasti tahap kualiti dan keselamatan makanan.

6. Taklimat kepada pihak katerer oleh UNIMAS telah diadakan pada 25 Julai 2019 bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti katerer yang bersedia untuk menyediakan perkhidmatan penyajian semasa Minggu ...
