    Kota Samarahan, 1 July 2019; Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings has been released on last Thursday and UNIMAS was ranked at 301. About 10 universities in Malaysia were listed and led by UTM at the rank 101-150 in the world, followed by UTP, UTAR, UKM, USM, UPM, UUM, UNITEN, UiTM and UNIMAS.

    THE’s 2019 Young University Rankings reveal the best universities under 50 years old, assessing them across teaching, research, international outlook and their work with industry.

     

    THE Young University Rankings apply the same methodology as the World University Rankings to assess research-intensive universities across all their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. However, the weightings are recalibrated to reflect the profile of missions of young universities. We use 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons, trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and governments. The “Golden Age” rankings use the same methodology as the World University Rankings. but the weightings were recalibrated to reflect the missions of younger universities.

    Teaching (the learning environment)

    Research (volume, income and reputation)
