1st Sarawak Design Conference 2019
Organized by Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, in Collaboration with, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, in conjunction with Sarawak Timber & SMEs Expo 2019.
The aim of the conference is;
- Identification of issues (problems and potentials) regarding timber product, technology and design.
- To exchange of design lessons learned and the encouragement of joint development among government agencies, industry (private sectors including designers) and the academic world.
- To develop a framework of innovative timber products development.
- To enhance awareness of roles of design in developing market oriented products

Submitted paper should not have been published nor under the consideration for publication elsewhere.
All submission should also comply with the manuscript submission guidelines, please refer to the attachment on formatting your papers and guideline for authors.
References are mandatory. References shall be written in accordance with the APA Style ( http://www.apastyle.org/ ).B. PAPER SUBMISSION

Theme: Translating the Past/ Envisioning the Future
Objectives
The objectives of the conference are as follows:
1. To promote and disseminate scientific research in the social, biological and medical sciences in Borneo;
2. To enable the research community, public, interested Borneo government departments, and others to keep abreast of ongoing research and its results;
3. To serve as a vehicle for drawing attention to urgent research and its results;
4. To provide a forum for the flow of information on Borneo research arising from many diverse sources;
Venue
The Conference will be held on campus at Detar Putra, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, Malaysia.
Session Themes and Panels
This will be a multidisciplinary conference dealing specifically with Borneo, with plenary sessions and sessions devoted to special topics and panels including but not limited to the following fields:

International University Carnival on E-Learning 2019 (IUCEL) is to be held in Borneo for the first time at the beautiful campus of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) from 21 to 22 August 2019 with the theme "Inspiring Innovations for Sustainable Futures".
There are various categories of competition and award which open to academics, researchers, school teachers, secondary and primary school students to showcase innovations and best practices on e-Learning applications as well as interactive teaching and learning approaches.
