    Kota Samarahan 4 April 2019; The Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Announced in last Tuesday, UNIMAS has been ranked 201 in the world for SDGs.
     
    The Times Higher Education (THE)carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons across three broad areas: research, outreach, and stewardship. The 17 goals were adopted by the UN in 2016 and provide a framework for developing the world in a sustainable way.
     
    The first edition of the ranking will include metrics based on 11 SDGs, but the long-term goal is to measure performance against all 17 goals. The 11 metric based SDGs include SDG 3 Good health and well-being, SDG 4 Quality education, SDG 5 Gender equality, SDG 8 Decent work and economic growth, SDG 9 Industry, innovation, and infrastructure,  SDG 10 Reduced inequalities, SDG 11 Sustainable cities and communities, SDG 12 Responsible consumption and production, SDG 13 Climate action, SDG 16 Peace, justice and strong institutions and SDG 17 Partnerships for the goals.
     
    There are only 560 universities around the world which are selected to participate and ...

    KOTA SAMARAHAN, 29 April 2019 – Sebagai usaha menyemarakkan program membaca, Pusat Khidmat Maklumat Akademik telah mengambil inisiatif menganjurkan Program Cinta Ilmu selama dua hari bermula 29 April lepas sebagai menyokong Read@UNIMAS dan menarik minat membaca dan memupuk kecintaan kepada ilmu dalam kalangan warga UNIMAS.

    Objektif program adalah untuk menyemarakkan semangat membaca dalam kalangan warga UNIMAS,memupuk kecintaan kepada ilmu pengetahuan, menggalakkan kempen menderma buku dalam kalangan warga UNIMAS serta meningkatkan kesedaran budaya membaca di kalangan masyarakat.

    Antara aktiviti diadakan seperti gimik perasmian, Jom Baca 10 minit, Read Out Loud  yang dilakukan oleh tiga orang pelajar dari sekolah SK St. Martin, SK Empila dan SK Dato Mohd Musa Samarahan, persembahan nyanyian oleh Adik Sofia Arissa, Read and Write with Emerald, pameran dan jualan buku dan cenderahati, jualan makanan dan minuman (food truck)Yakub

    Istimewanya Program Cinta Ilmu kali ini turut dihadiri oleh  Miss Planet International 2019, Cik Viviana Lin Watson,19, yang telah mewakili Malaysia ke peringkat antarabangsa untuk Miss Planet International pada 1 Mac 2019 di Cambodia dan telah merangkul anugerah 2nd runner up Miss Planet International 2019 bersandarkan minat membaca yang mendalam dan mempunyai pengetahuan am yang luas.

    KOTA SAMARAHAN, 4 April 2019 : Twenty-one Administrative and Diplomatic Officers (PTD) from the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR), Ministry of Foreign Affairs had a courtesy call on Professor Datu Mohd Fadzil Abdul Rahman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), UNIMAS led by Mr. Zakaria Nasir, Director of Centre of Competency Enhancement Centre on Tuesday, 2 April 2019.

    IDFR has selected Kuching, Sarawak as their venue for the Diploma in Diplomacy (DiD) 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Outreach Programme as part of the Ministry’s public diplomacy effort.

    The DiD is a mandatory 6-months preparation course for officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prior to being posted to Malaysia’s 111 Missions in 85 countries abroad.

    On Wednesday, 3 April 2019, IDFR in collaboration with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities organised an Outreach and Engagement Session Programme with the International Relations students.

    Among others, IDFR highlight and promote the roles and responsibilities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in defending Malaysia’s interest at the international fora. The programme provided an experience-sharing platform between IDFR and the International Relations students, with the objectives to inspire and motivate students in their potential career ...
