Announcement: UNIMAS AHA Training Site Course Calendar 2018 (2^nd Half)

The UNIMAS American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site is pleased to announce its latest course offerings for the second half of 2018.

UNIMAS is an official training site that offers the following AHA Courses:

• Courses for Healthcare Professionals:
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course for Healthcare Providers
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course
• Courses for Non-Medically Trained Personnel:
  • AHA Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR & AED Provider Course

Enrolled participants will receive the official AHA course package upon registration. Participants who successfully fulfill the assessment (written and skills testing) requirements of the course will be awarded with an AHA provider status which is internationally recognized and valid for 2-years.

All courses will be conducted by AHA certified instructors in the Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Kota Samarahan Campus. The training facility is fully equipped with simulators of varying fidelity levels to ensure our participants are fully immersed in the training programmes.

The updating of personal information is important to ensure that:

1. Students can be contacted for important academic matters,
2. Mail is sent to the correct correspondence address for examples graduation confirmation letters, sponsorship letters and other related letters,
3. To ensure that the name printed on transcripts and certificates is accurate

Permohonan Dana Penyelidikan KPM (DP KPM) akan dibuka untuk Penyelidikan Fundamental bagi Penyelidik Baharu (Fundamental Research Grant Scheme for Research Acculturation of Early Career Researchers – FRGS-RACER) yang merupakan dana tunas bertujuan untuk membudayakan penyelidikan di kalangan penyelidik baharu di Universiti Awam (UA) bukan berstatus Universiti Penyelidikan (Research University – RU) iaitu universiti rakan RU (RRU).

Para penyelidik yang berkelayakan mengikut syarat-syarat yang ditetapkan boleh membuat permohonan mulai 25 Mac 2019 sehingga 22 April 2019 menggunakan sistem MyGRANTS melalui pautan https://mygrants.gov.my. Semua permohonan yang telah dinilai di peringkat universiti perlu dikemukakan kepada Kementerian sebelum atau pada 31 Mei 2019, jam 11.59 malam.

Garis panduan FRGS-RACER boleh dimuat turun melalui sistem MyGRANTS. Sebarang pertanyaan, sila hubungi pihak urus setia FRGS-RACER di talian 03-88706974/6975 atau emel frgsracer@gmail.com.

Semua permohonan dihantar mengikut tempoh masa yang ditetapkan serta telah memenuhi semua syarat dan penilaian yang ditetapkan. KPM berhak menolak mana-mana permohonan sekiranya mana-mana syarat tidak dipatuhi.

          Kementerian Tenaga, Sains, Teknologi, Alam Sekitar dan Perubahan Iklim (MESTECC) telah menerima pelawaan daripada Centre for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries( NAM S&T Centre) untuk menyertai Joint NAM S&T Centre - Zmt Bremen (Germany) Fellowship in "Tropical Coastal Marine Research": Call For Applications For 2019 anjuran bersama NAM S&T Centre dan Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT), Bremen, Germany.

        Program Fellowship ini akan berlangsung selama 3 bulan dan bidang penyelidikan yang menjadi keutamaan adalah bidang Ecology, Biogeochemistry, Geology, Theoretical Ecology dan Modelling, Social Sciences danTropical Coastal Marine Systems.

          Borang permohonan serta dokumen sokongan yang berkaitan kepada dihantar kepada nurulahernesto@mestecc.gov.my dan haslinda@mestecc.gov.my selewat-lewatnya pada 24 Mei 2019 (Jumaat), bagi tujuan pengesahan oleh MESTECC selaku Focal Point NAM S&T Centre di Malaysia.

         Calon yang berjaya dipilih oleh NAM S&T Centre, perbelanjaan penerbangan pergi-balik adalah ditanggung oleh NAM S&T Centre manakala pihak ZMT BREMEN akan memberikan elaun bulanan sebanyak € 1250 bagi menanggung kos penginapan, makan-minum dan lain-lain untuk tempoh 3 bulan.
