Director of the Institute of Social Informatics and Technological Innovations, Prof. Dr Narayanan, recently conducted a Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) workshop for Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) lecturers. Recognized as a powerful method for innovation, TRIZ is a catalytic program for employees to upgrade the problem solving and innovation skills to international certification standards and has been embraced by many major corporations worldwide.

The workshop, which was conducted over three days, covered various topics such as the history of TRIZ, the insight of the profound discovery, and also the 6 techniques of TRIZ. Participants were also introduced to the application aspect of the methodology. Apart from that, the workshop also included an assessment for certification as a TRIZ Level 1 Practitioner.
