A Creative Talk session was organized on Friday, 16th February 2019 at PITAS Auditorium for GKL2023 Commercial Strategy in Design course which involved 90 students of 2nd year Design Technology Program.
Mr.Syafie Mustafa, an Ecosystem Research Analyst, MaGIC who previously involved with Design Technology Program Grill or Chill last January was invited to UNIMAS this time around as a guest speaker for creative talk entitled “The Future of Design”. The creative talk was intended to give an overview to the students on what is the future of design and how designers can help to solve everyday problems.
Having a guest speaker for this course helps to expose students to experienced practitioner from the industry. The students will be able to relate what they are learning in this course with the real-world issues in the design field. At the same time, it provides better learning experience to the students, instructors and the guest speaker as well.
Besides the creative talk, students had a one to one consultation session with Mr.Syafie in the afternoon where he provided feedbacks on students’ ideas for their proposed project for this course.
The coordinator and instructors of this course include Dr.Mastika Lamat, Miss Noorhaslina Senin and Dr.Saiful Bahari Mohd Yusoff.
