KOTA SAMARAHAN, 9th May 2017 : The Tenth International Conference on IT in Asia 2017 (CITA `17) will be held on 23rd – 24th May 2017 at Hilton Hotel Kuching. The proposed theme of the conference is “Technology Transforming Lives” which emphases on the technologies that are making a difference in the global community with the aim of improving their livelihoods.

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). CITA’17 is a premier international conference dedicated to address the advances in Information Technology, which over the years has become a leading interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary forum to bring academia and industry scientists together to exchange and share their most recent innovations, trends, practical challenges and adopted solutions.

The conference aims to bring together professionals and executives all around the world to share and exchange ideas and information pertaining to the roles of ICTs within the prevailing challenges of development faced by the region.

The conference is looking for new results, techniques and applications on any aspect of smart technological ICT enablers, infrastructure and its trends rolling along into the future with its pressing need for a digital economy lifestyle to shape homes, offices and communities.

CITA is a multiple-track conference that includes workshops, keynote speaker, addresses and oral presentations.

The theme for CITA’17 is “Technology Transforming Lives” and contains the following tracks: Multimedia, Computational Modelling and Simulation, Computer Systems & Communication Technologies, Software Engineering and Information Systems. For CITA `17, there will be four invited keynote speakers who are internationally renowned in academia and industries.

They are (i) Professor Dr Kuldar Taveter from Talinn University of Technology, Estonia; (ii) Professor Dr Ghassan Beydoun from University of Technology Sydney, Australia; (iii) Professor Datuk Dr Khairuddin Ab Hamid from University Malaysia of Computer Science and Engineering (UniMy), Malaysia; (iv) Mr Mohamed Shaharuddin Bin Mohamed Izzuddin from UMW Technology Sdn Bhd, Malaysia.
