KOTA SAMARAHAN, 20 June 2019 : For the first time in its 27-year history, UNIMAS has been listed in QS World University Ranking (QS WUR) 2020 and was placed among the top 1000 best universities in the world.
“ UNIMAS is very pleased to share the results of QS World University Ranking 2020 which has placed UNIMAS among the top 1000 best universities in the world at 801” said UNIMAS Vice Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi.
UNIMAS regard this recognition as a manifestation of the strong team effort by staff, students and strategic partners as well as all our stakeholders in building a strong global brand for the university.
According to the Vice Chancellor, UNIMAS strategic goals has always been to transform lives locally and globally through strategic plan that ensures sustainability for diversed and dispersed communities.
“ What this means to us in UNIMAS is that we can now focus on working on branding and positioning UNIMAS as a stronger brand image in order to attract more international students to study in UNIMAS.
“ It will also help us in influencing strategic partners and collaborators by attracting the best global institutions to work with UNIMAS in the various academic sectors, be it, research and innovation or teaching and learning excellence,” he added.
Meanwhile, The QS WUR 2020 announcement was officially release yesterday and it is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per faculty, student-to-faculty ratio, proportion of international faculty, and proportion of international students.
