KOTA SAMARAHAN, 17 March 2018 : Nurses are driven to provide innovative solutions to facilitate the delivery of healthcare and nursing advances, said Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) UNIMAS, Professor Mohd Fadzil Abdul Rahman, during the opening ceremony of the 9th Regional Nursing Student’s Conference (RNSC2018) this morning.

He said, the emergence of Industrial Revolution of 4.0 (IR4.0) is leading technology towards providing better healthcare services especially in disease management, aging and the discovery and development of new medical innovations.

According to Professor Mohd Fadzil, graduates of this era will enter an entirely new way of delivering healthcare services where robotic are connected to computer systems and move innovations into practice in a way that is safe, responsive and high quality.

“ Therefore, it is hoped that his conference will not only be a platform to share thoughts on modern and present day practices but also on ways to deliver trained and safe practices, “ he said.

He also thanked all committee members of RNSC2018 for making the conference a reality and welcomed all speakers and participants from overseas to experience the beauty of Kuching city.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences UNIMAS, Professor Dr Haji Ahmad Hata Rasit also attended the opening ceremony.

The theme of RNSC2018 of this year is ‘ Meeting the challenges and opportunities of innovation in nursing’ and 400 participations both from local and oversea such as Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia participated in this two day event.
