KCH collaborated with F aculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT) from Universi ti Malaysia Sarawak, (UNIMAS) to develop eRaceColl, a web-based Race Pack E ntry Collection Solution to improve the process of registration and race pa ck collection for nearly 2000 participants. \nBased on previous experience, the registration for the hash event were done manually, which means that t he facilitators are using the paper form, an excel sheet to record all the participants’ registration and race pack distribution. Now, eRaceColl conso lidates the data ranging from individual, group and even sub-group registra tion where the registration data consists of participants’ real name, hash name, hash chapter and size of the t-shirt. Not only that, it allows the re gistration committee to search the name of the participants, t-shirt size a nd their collection status easily. Thus, it could greatly improve the regis tration queuing system by having a centralized data storage accessed from m ultiple registration counters. \n\nGroup registration for hash runners from Jambi Hash Chapter, Indonesia\n\nPhoto capture for race pack collector\nTo avoid multiple collection of the race packs, all participants collecting t he race packs will have to snap a photo of themselves or the representative of the group registration as proof which will be saved to the database. Th e efficiency of this system is proved during the registration in the length of 2 days and a half, where it takes less than 10 seconds for individual’s registration and about 30 seconds for groups or sub-group registration. Th roughout the past few days the system has immensely help in the collection and registration of the event. \n\nFCSIT, UNIMAS team\n X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
