Announcement: UNIMAS AHA Training Site Course Calendar 2018 (2^nd Half)

The UNIMAS American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site is pleased to announce its latest course offerings for the second half of 2018.

UNIMAS is an official training site that offers the following AHA Courses:

• Courses for Healthcare Professionals:
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course for Healthcare Providers
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course
• Courses for Non-Medically Trained Personnel:
  • AHA Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR & AED Provider Course

Enrolled participants will receive the official AHA course package upon registration. Participants who successfully fulfill the assessment (written and skills testing) requirements of the course will be awarded with an AHA provider status which is internationally recognized and valid for 2-years.

All courses will be conducted by AHA certified instructors in the Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Kota Samarahan Campus. The training facility is fully equipped with simulators of varying fidelity levels to ensure our participants are fully immersed in the training programmes.

UNIMAS is an official training site that offers the following AHA Courses:

Konvensyen Team Excellence yang dianjurkan pada 24 dan 25 Julai 2019, merupakan salah satu program yang dianjurkan Perbadanan Produktiviti Malaysia (MPC) bertujuan untuk mengukuhkan lagi budaya kreativiti dan inovasi di dalam sesebuah organisasi. Ia adalah platform yang disediakan supaya warga organisasi yang mempunyai idea kreatif mentransformasikan idea tersebut dan berkongsi maklumat dengan organisasi yang lain.

Konvensyen selama 2 hari ini dihadiri oleh 38 organisasi awam dan swasta dari seluruh negara dihadiri seramai 480 peserta dengan penglibatan 47 kumpulan projek telah dirasmikan oleh Timbalan Ketua Menteri merangkap Menteri Pembangunan Perindustrian dan Usahawan Sarawak, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan melalui Menteri Muda Pembangunan Perindustrian Sarawak, Malcolm Mussen Lamoh. Menurut MPC, kesemua 38 organisasi berjaya melakukan penjimatan dan pengurangan kos operasi sebanyak 169.4 juta keseluruhannya.

UNIMAS diwakili oleh 5 orang peserta iaitu Team Medic dari Fakulti Perubatan dan Sains Kesihatan (FPSK) yang terdiri daripada Mohamad Iswandy Ibrahim, Munirah Sa’adi, Herlina Patrick Kukut, Yumizal Juan dan Willy Kuchop dengan inovasi bertajuk “Nematodes Isolator Apparatus (NIA)©” telah mendapat Anugerah Emas di peringkat wilayah (RTEx) yang diadakan di Hotel Pullman, Miri.

Objectives

The objectives of the conference are as follows:

1. To promote and disseminate scientific research in the social, biological and medical sciences in Borneo;

2. To enable the research community, public, interested Borneo government departments, and others to keep abreast of ongoing research and its results;

3. To serve as a vehicle for drawing attention to urgent research and its results;

4. To provide a forum for the flow of information on Borneo research arising from many diverse sources;

Venue

The Conference will be held on campus at Detar Putra, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Session Themes and Panels

This will be a multidisciplinary conference dealing specifically with Borneo, with plenary sessions and sessions devoted to special topics and panels including but not limited to the following fields:
