Announcement: UNIMAS AHA Training Site Course Calendar 2018 (2^nd Half)

The UNIMAS American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site is pleased to announce its latest course offerings for the second half of 2018.

UNIMAS is an official training site that offers the following AHA Courses:

• Courses for Healthcare Professionals:
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course for Healthcare Providers
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course
• Courses for Non-Medically Trained Personnel:
  • AHA Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR & AED Provider Course

Enrolled participants will receive the official AHA course package upon registration. Participants who successfully fulfill the assessment (written and skills testing) requirements of the course will be awarded with an AHA provider status which is internationally recognized and valid for 2-years.

All courses will be conducted by AHA certified instructors in the Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Kota Samarahan Campus. The training facility is fully equipped with simulators of varying fidelity levels to ensure our participants are fully immersed in the training programmes.

Kota Samarahan, 22 August 2019: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) hosted the International University Carnival on E-Learning (IUCEL) from 21 to 22 August 2019, which was regarded as the biggest ever edition of the carnival since its introduction in 2015. About 190 innovation, inventions and products on e-Learning was on show during the two-day event participated by institutions, companies and schools across Malaysia and the region. IUCEL 2019 was jointly organised by the Ministry of Education Malaysia, The Council of Malaysian Public Higher Education Institution e-Learning Coordinators (MEIPTA) and Malaysia Centre for E-Learning (MyCEL). It is an annual event that acts as a platform to promote, explore, and share best practices and global expertise in e-Learning applications at all levels of learning institutions from all over the world. This year's theme "Inspiring Innovations for Sustainable Futures" signifies the call for future-proof practices and innovations that are impactful to the community at large. 21 Ogos 2019: Unit Keselamatan Dan Kesihatan (UKKP) UNIMAS telah mengadakan “Health And Safety Representative Training” untuk ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Keselamatan Dan Kesihatan (JKKP) PTj. Ini merupakan siri kedua bagi latihan yang sama.

Latihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta (ahli-ahli JKKP) tentang konsep dan peraturan-peraturan yang berkaitan dalam pelaksanaan fungsi serta tanggungjawab sebagai ahli dalam JKKP PTj.

Keselamatan Dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (Safety) tidak mungkin dapat bergerak atau digerak secara bersendirian maka pendekatan sebagai satu pasukan yang sama, semangat ambil peduli dan terutamanya kesediaan untuk kerjasama antara semua peringakt ahli JKKP sangat penting untuk meningkatkan keupayaan JKKP PTj.
