The UNIMAS American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site is pleased to announce its latest course offerings for the second half of 2018.

UNIMAS is an official training site that offers the following AHA Courses:

• Courses for Healthcare Professionals:
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course for Healthcare Providers
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course
• Courses for Non-Medically Trained Personnel:
  • AHA Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR & AED Provider Course

Enrolled participants will receive the official AHA course package upon registration. Participants who successfully fulfill the assessment (written and skills testing) requirements of the course will be awarded with an AHA provider status which is internationally recognized and valid for 2-years.

All courses will be conducted by AHA certified instructors in the Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Kota Samarahan Campus. The training facility is fully equipped with simulators of varying fidelity levels to ensure our participants are fully immersed in the training programmes.

Objectives

The objectives of the conference are as follows:

1. To promote and disseminate scientific research in the social, biological and medical sciences in Borneo;

3. To serve as a vehicle for drawing attention to urgent research and its results;

4. To provide a forum for the flow of information on Borneo research arising from many diverse sources;

KOTA SAMARAHAN, 29 April 2019 – Sebagai usaha menyemarakkan program membaca, Pusat Khidmat Maklumat Akademik telah mengambil inisiatif menganjurkan Program Cinta Ilmu selama dua hari bermula 29 April lepas sebagai menyokong Read@UNIMAS dan menarik minat membaca dan memupuk kecintaan kepada ilmu dalam kalangan warga UNIMAS.

Objektif program adalah untuk menyemarakkan semangat membaca dalam kalangan warga UNIMAS,memupuk kecintaan kepada ilmu pengetahuan, menggalakkan kempen menderma buku dalam kalangan warga UNIMAS serta meningkatkan kesedaran budaya membaca di kalangan masyarakat.

Antara aktiviti diadakan seperti gimik perasmian, Jom Baca 10 minit, Read Out Loud  yang dilakukan oleh tiga orang pelajar dari sekolah SK St. Martin, SK Empila dan SK Dato Mohd Musa Samarahan, persembahan nyanyian oleh Adik Sofia Arissa, Read and Write with Emerald, pameran dan jualan buku dan cenderahati, jualan makanan dan minuman (food truck)Yakub

Istimewanya Program Cinta Ilmu kali ini turut dihadiri oleh  Miss Planet International 2019, Cik Viviana Lin Watson,19, yang telah mewakili Malaysia ke peringkat antarabangsa untuk Miss Planet International pada 1 Mac 2019 di Cambodia dan telah merangkul anugerah 2nd runner up Miss Planet International 2019 bersandarkan minat membaca yang mendalam dan mempunyai pengetahuan am yang luas.

Kota Samarahan, 5 April 2019 – Pusat Pembangunan Pelajar, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak akan mengadakan Pameran Kerjaya ‘Talent Recruitment and Talent Exhibition 2019 ‘(TRACE 2019) selama dua hari pada 10 hingga 11 April 2019 bertempat di Dewan Banquet, DeTAR Putra UNIMAS.

Pada tahun ini, TRACE akan disertai oleh lebih 100 majikan dengan menawarkan pelbagai kekosongan jawatan kerja.

Program ini diadakan bertujuan untuk menonjolkan bakat bakal-bakal graduan bukan sahaja pelajar UNIMAS malah semua bakal graduan Institusi Pengajian Tinggi dan Institusi Kemahiran sekitar Kuching.

Secara umumnya program ini merupakan pameran kerjaya dimana kita menjemput majikan-majikan yang menawarkan peluang pekerjaan untuk hadir membuka kaunter pameran dan memberi peluang kepada orang ramai untuk mendapatkan infomasi-infomasi tentang jawatan-jawatan yang ditawarkan dari segi kelayakan dan kemahiran yang diperlukan.

Sepanjang program berlangsung, sesi temuduga oleh beberapa majikan serta ceramah kerjaya juga akan diadakan dan para pengunjung digalakan membawa ‘resume’ serta salinan dokumen-dokumen untuk memohon pekerjaan serta berpakaian formal atau sesuai untuk menarik minat bakal majikan kelak.

Pelajar Tahun 3 Program Drama dan Teater akan mengadakan program yang bersifat akademik melalui kursus GKD3154 Seminar Drama dan Teater. Kursus ini merupakan landasan untuk para pelajar merancang dan terlibat dalam perbincangan bidang seni persembahan khususnya pementasan teater bangsawan alaf baru. Pada semester ini, pihak penganjur akan menjemput Dr. Marlenny Deenerwan yang kini berkhidmat  sebagai Ketua Jabatan Drama, Pusat Kebudayaan, Universiti Malaya untuk berkongsi ilmu tentang pengalaman dalam industri.

KOTA SAMARAHAN, 4 April 2019 : Twenty-one Administrative and Diplomatic Officers (PTD) from the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR), Ministry of Foreign Affairs had a courtesy call on Professor Datu Mohd Fadzil Abdul Rahman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), UNIMAS led by Mr. Zakaria Nasir, Director of Centre of Competency Enhancement Centre on Tuesday, 2 April 2019.

IDFR has selected Kuching, Sarawak as their venue for the Diploma in Diplomacy (DiD) 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Outreach Programme as part of the Ministry’s public diplomacy effort.

The DiD is a mandatory 6-months preparation course for officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prior to being posted to Malaysia’s 111 Missions in 85 countries abroad.

On Wednesday, 3 April 2019, IDFR in collaboration with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities organised an Outreach and Engagement Session Programme with the International Relations students.

Among others, IDFR highlight and promote the roles and responsibilities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in defending Malaysia’s interest at the international fora.
