Echoing the success of our Faculty Open Day Promotion Programme and Hero Kita 2.0 amongst others, our on-campus and off-campus UNIMAS students, under the proud banner of Pusat Pembanguan Pelajar Universiti (PPPA), banded together to commemorate Hari Kokurikulum online by hosting the E-Festival Kokurikulum UNIMAS 2021, last Saturday, 26 June 2021, with the slogan Stand Together to Get the Puzzles Together. The festival attracted 1300 online views, an impressive number of online participations. The success of the event signals the robust collegiality of our students, most of whom have never met one another.
Allow us to hyperbolically describe the event.
The E-Festival Kokurikulum UNIMAS 2021 is an in-house virtual Grammy Awards to appreciate our students’ talents and intellectual prowess through photography, E-Quiz, E-Poster, E-MasterChef, and Culture Tradition, to name but a few of the exhibitions. Besides the award stage, viewers were given a virtual tour of a special art exhibition. The awesome thing about this art exhibition is that it premieres 70 posters from various community service projects that our students were involved in. What’s more, the gallery was built and managed by 12 of the students using the Artstep tool.

The PPPA Director, Associate Professor Dr. Faisal Ali bin Anwarali Khan was positive that the E-Festival Kokurikulum UNIMAS 2021 has achieved the objective in nurturing students to form healthy peer relationships through online collaborative teamwork in this new norm learning environment. Through this programme, students had the opportunities to enhance important abilities such as leadership, strategic communication, and administrative skills via online interactions. This is evidence that regardless of the curve balls that these two years have thrown at us, UNIMAS valiantly accepts the challenge and continues to provide high quality education.
E-Festival Kokurikulum UNIMAS 2021 was officiated by our Vice Chancellor, Yang Berbahagia Professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi, together with the university’s top management.
