CREATIVECULTURE invites you to join us at our second GAMIFICATION in LEARNING SEMINAR 2019. The event will be conducted at myCapsule Space, the first Gamification lab in Malaysia, situated at the Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology, UNIMAS on 5 December 2019. CreativeCulture is made up of a research team which has been working on Gamification, Game Design Thinking and Co-Creativity for the past two years, under grants acquired through the Institute of Social Informatics and Technology Innovations (ISITI).
This year, the seminar presents ideas about playful and gameful learning, to extend formal engagement methods in teaching. Gameful learning experience promotes lifelong learning and reshapes thinking about learning for 21st-century knowledge economies and open societies. The seminar taps into playful inspirations of existing traditional games played by various cultures in Sarawak and all around the globe.
In the workshop, participants will develop playful solutions to address learning challenges, themes and topics. Presenters will speak about gamification of learning, from perspectives and experiences in using gamification in their own classrooms. Among the presenters lined up for the event is Cikgu Muhammad Nazmi Rosli, a teacher from SK Long Sukang, Lawas, who won the Adiwira PAK21 competition earlier this year, organised by the Ministry of Education. We will also showcase Collaborative Play products developed by MSc Learning Sciences students, which have been rolled out at four rural schools in Asajaya and Serian this year.
