Organized by Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, in Collaboration with, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, in conjunction with Sarawak Timber & SMEs Expo 2019.

The aim of the conference is;

1. Identification of issues (problems and potentials) regarding timber product, technology and design.
2. To exchange of design lessons learned and the encouragement of joint development among government agencies, industry (private sectors including designers) and the academic world.
3. To develop a framework of innovative timber products development.
4. To enhance awareness of roles of design in developing market oriented products

Submitted paper should not have been published nor under the consideration for publication elsewhere.

All submission should also comply with the manuscript submission guidelines, please refer to the attachment on formatting your papers and guideline for authors.

C. PUBLICATION

The authors of the accepted papers will receive editorial comments so that the paper can be revised for presentation at the Conference. The papers presented at the discussion will be reviewed and published in the conference proceeding and only selected papers will be published in Journal of Visual Art and Design (JVAD), by Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia. The process of publication in the JVAD will follow the standard procedures mentioned in the journal websites as follows:

Publication on JVAD are subjected to condition and approval by Institut Teknologi Bandung, and any publication on JVAD are between the author and Institut Teknologi Bandung (these will also include fees for publication, reviewing, publication datelines etc.) 

D. POSTER SUBMISSION

Poster sessions are designed to give presenters an opportunity to discuss their research with colleagues interested in their research. The purpose of the posters is to visually stimulate interest in the research, to present adequate information for viewers to understand the methods, results, and significance of the research, and to promote networking among conference participants.
