Corporate Social Responsibility Program at SMK Sg Tapang Kuching

On 25th April 2018, MSc HRD students from the Faculty of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development, University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) have succeeded in organizing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program SMK Sg Tapang , Kuching. The participants of this program were 33 students of Cohort 3 MSc HRD, 3 lecturers of UNIMAS which refers to Dr Surena Sabil, Dean of FCSHD faculty, Mr Heng Chin Siong and Madam Florianna Lendai, SMK Sg Tapang Principle, Mr Bekon Janet, SMK Sg Tapang staff and 100 students of SMK Sg Tapang. This CSR program was aimed at promoting goodwill and fostering closer relationship between participants and SMK Sg Tapang students through welfare activities.
Various CSR activities have been conducted during the 25th of April, such as motivation talk by MSC Hrd Students about time management, pursuing studies in UNIMAS, knowledge sharing about History Subject, in group activities conducted by UNIMAS students with the students of SMK Sg Tapang. Besides, other activities also held such as, decorating signage boards along the pathways, and also aloe Vera trees planting activity around school areas, where this activity allowed participants to become involved in contributing to the beautification of the environment. The response given to this program was indeed encouraging and participants gained a lot of hands-on experience from the CSR program. In conjunction of this CSR program, there was organization that sponsored this program. One of the main sponsor were, Triple A Training, SME Bank, Pejabat Pembangunan Persekutuan Negeri Sarawak, and Y.K.L and Y Enterprise . As results for this CSR activity, there will some contribution given by the Pejabat Pembangunan Persekutuan Negeri Sarawak and reported the contractor have visited the school before taking any action. At the end of the program, we can conclude that, this kind of activities should be promoted and should be held frequently in order to have some bonding between students, communities and environment.
