UNIMAS – “You eat with your eyes first” or “Camera eats first” are that the phrases that we kept on hearing in the age of the social media. Thus, in-line with the commercial photography skill set required by the students of GKG2144 Digital Photography for Designers course, a Food Styling and Photography Workshop was organized on 6-7 April 2019. The workshop was organized in collaboration with NIKON Malaysia which was participated by more than 100 students from design technology and fine arts program. The objective of the workshop is to equip students with industrial expert on commercial photography especially on food photography.
The two days hands-on session was conducted by Eunice Martin Lim and her assistant Maggie Tay. Eunice Lim, the owner of Throughmylens Production previously won the 2017 Top Food Influencer Award by Gushcloud Asia. CIMB Malaysia, Nestum Malaysia, Air Asia, MAS Airlines, Hilton Kuala Lumpur, Oishi Green Tea, Huawei are few of her long list of clienteles. Basic topic covered during the workshop include camera setting, lighting, composition, lighting and editing. The workshop was also assisted by Mr.Alex Moh (Manager of NIKON Centre Kuala Lumpur), Miss Noorhaslina Senin (Course coordinator), course instructors Mr.Ang Tse Chwan, Miss Auzani Zeda Mohammed Kassim, Mr.Asrul Asshadi Mohd Morni and Madam Siti Shahida Kamel (Fine Arts Programme).

The event was part of the MoU activity with NIKON Malaysia under the Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts lead by Miss Noorhaslina Senin (FACA) and this has been the fourth years of such collaboration.
